We take all acts of violence against riders very seriously, and my thoughts are with the victim as she navigates this terrible and horrifying incident.”

“Every day, MTA workers ensure that our public transportation operates smoothly, helping millions of New Yorkers arrive safely to their destinations. As alleged, Rashon Eagle and Abdellahi Mohammed assaulted two of these workers, who were just doing their jobs, in addition to a Good Samaritan,” said District Attorney Bragg. “MTA workers and passengers should not have to fear for their safety when on our buses and subways, and those who jeopardize their safety will be held accountable.” 

D.A. Bragg Announces Indictment Of Man For Three Christmas Day Attacks At Grand Central Terminal

“As alleged, Esteban Esonoasue viciously attacked three strangers at Grand Central Terminal, one of our city’s most-visited and beloved landmarks,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Two teenage tourists were seriously injured while enjoying their holiday trip to New York with their family, and a woman was attacked in the neck with a fork. We don’t tolerate violence in our transit hubs and I wish the victims a speedy recovery.”
