“Stanley Lafleur allegedly assaulted an unarmed MTA dispatcher who was merely doing his job,” said District Attorney Bragg. “We owe a lot to the hardworking members of the MTA for keeping our city moving and they deserve a safe working environment. We will continue to use all the tools at our disposal to keep our transit system safe.”
“This unconscionable attack nearly took the life of a young man visiting Manhattan for what should have been a joyous occasion,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Everyone deserves to walk the streets of New York City safely and I commend the immense strength of this victim, who recovered from this attack and returned to Manhattan to testify.”
A beefy fitness model who stabbed his roommate more than a dozen times in a fit of rage was sentenced to eight years behind bars Tuesday for the sensational 2018 attack.
“Geoffrey Tracy viciously stabbed his unarmed rental host, who continues to suffer significant physical and emotional damage to this day,” said District Attorney Bragg. “While we can never undo the suffering and trauma from this incident, I hope the accountability from today’s sentence can help the healing process. I thank my office’s prosecutors for steadfastly pursuing this case.”
