Agustin Diaz was indicted Wednesday on rape, sexual abuse, stalking and other charges in connection with the assault of at least four women going back at least to 2018, according to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office.
A Bronx man targeted Spanish-speaking migrants in the city’s subway system, promising them jobs but instead subjecting them to a string of horrifying sexual assaults, prosecutors charged Wednesday.
“As alleged, Agustin Diaz purposefully targeted Spanish-speaking women who were new to the United States and in desperate need of employment,” said District Attorney Bragg. “He allegedly lured them to isolated locations with promises of work, only to sexually assault them in a pattern he repeated with at least four survivors. On Monday, a man was sentenced to 15 years in state prison for stabbing a man to death inside the Dave & Buster’s arcade in Times Square in April 2022, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said.
The man convicted of fatally stabbing a man at the Times Square Dave & Buster’s nearly two years ago was ordered Monday to serve the next 15 years in prison.
