“In addition to the alleged theft that occurred, none of these Officers stepped up and stopped this activity. Public confidence in the criminal justice system depends on members of law enforcement acting with the utmost integrity while on duty and following the same rules that apply to everyone else,” said District Attorney Bragg. 

“New Yorkers must be able to trust that law enforcement officials are held to the same standards of justice as everyone else,” said District Attorney Bragg.

“Law enforcement officials are sworn to serve and protect their communities, including New Yorkers in their custody,” said District Attorney Bragg. “In this case, Sergeant Wong violated not only his oath – but the law – during the violent arrests of two New Yorkers, on two separate occasions.
