“Bystanders were able to intervene when Lateef Caldwell allegedly attempted to rape a woman simply enjoying an evening in Central Park,” said District Attorney Bragg. “To any New Yorker who has survived sexual violence, I want you to know that we are here to help. “As alleged, DiCastro and Cordero ran a prostitution operation that spanned from Manhattan to upstate New York,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Disturbingly, that included the trafficking of at least one child. Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg said: “Donovan Murphy brutally raped a nurse who was just trying to get some sleep between her shifts at the hospital. A jury found that he broke into her apartment, beat her until he fractured her skull and split open her mouth, and then raped her. I thank the survivor for her fortitude and bravery taking the stand, and the members of the jury for their careful consideration of this case.”
“A woman was enjoying a sunny summer day in Central Park before Jermaine Longmire tackled her and attempted to rape her. A jury of his peers convicted Longmire for this brutal and terrifying attack,” said District Attorney Bragg. “New Yorkers and tourists alike deserve to enjoy New York’s parks without fearing for their safety.
