“Miles McNeal is facing accountability for exploiting his position as a school employee to take advantage of one of his students, who was only 8 years old. “Keanu Martinez violently raped a woman and a teenager who he targeted for their perceived vulnerabilities. But these survivors were stronger than he could have imagined, and took the stand to testify to his horrific crimes,” said District Attorney Bragg. “I thank my office’s prosecutors and everyone who worked on this trial for securing accountability for these crimes. Most of all, I thank the survivors for their bravery in sharing what happened both at the trial and at today’s sentencing.”

“Alex Jean’s trafficking operation was extraordinarily brutal, including a pattern of kidnappings and rapes that were intended to dehumanize these women,” said District Attorney Bragg. “But each was able to escape, and moreover, bravely came forward and testified in open court. I thank them for their inspiring courage, as well as every member of my office that helped put an end to Jean’s crimes.”

“A young woman was walking into her SoHo apartment building when Ellow Williams followed her inside, strangled her until she appeared to lose consciousness, and raped her.
