“As alleged in this indictment, these three postal workers dragged their incapacitated colleague out of a post office and into a mail truck, where one attempted to rape her,” said District Attorney Bragg. “We take investigations and prosecutions of sexual violence extremely seriously and have the survivor-centered services and resources to help those who have been sexually assaulted. “As alleged, Agustin Diaz purposefully targeted Spanish-speaking women who were new to the United States and in desperate need of employment,” said District Attorney Bragg. “He allegedly lured them to isolated locations with promises of work, only to sexually assault them in a pattern he repeated with at least four survivors. “Jamel McIver viciously threatened and raped a woman in the building she called home, causing indescribable fear and pain that she and her loved ones still endure today,” said District Attorney Bragg. “I thank this brave survivor for coming forward and sincerely hope the resolution of this case can offer her a sense of justice.
