“As alleged, Oluwanifemi Aborisade assaulted a vulnerable, 95-year-old woman who depended on her for care,” said District Attorney Bragg. “I hope the victim continues to heal from this horrific assault. “As alleged, Joshua Cantero slashed a 65-year-old man multiple times while he was waiting to pick up his wife from work,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Assaults on older adults are reprehensible, and those who commit these acts of violence in Manhattan will be held accountable. I hope the victim continues to heal from this assault.” 

“As alleged, Chontrell Wrenick committed an alarming and dangerous attack that jeopardized the safety of his own cousin,” said District Attorney Bragg. “The explosive device posed a significant threat to the lives of innocent Manhattanites, and I am grateful law enforcement was able to intervene and safely recover the device. I wish the victim a speedy recovery.”  

“Alex Ray Scott will serve a significant prison term for the brutal and senseless murder of Kenneth Savinski – a beloved, friendly person and respected churchgoer,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Mr. Savinski’s loss not only devastated his friends and family but shocked his tightknit community. Although we cannot bring Mr. Savinski back, I hope the resolution of this case offers his loved ones a sense of justice in their ongoing grief.”  

“Today, Tyrese Haspil is facing accountability for brutally murdering and decapitating Fahim Saleh, a kind, generous, and empathetic person who positively impacted the world. Even after the defendant stole from him to fund a lavish lifestyle, Mr. Saleh still gave him a second chance,” said District Attorney Bragg. “While today’s sentence won’t bring Mr. Saleh back, I hope it provides his family a sense of closure as they continue to mourn his painful loss.”
