“Isolated from teachers and other responsible adults because of the pandemic, 10-year-old Ayden Wolfe was enduring horrific violence at the hands of his mother’s boyfriend. Ryan Cato brutally abused him, eventually killing Ayden in his own apartment,” said District Attorney Bragg. “While today’s sentencing will not bring back this innocent child, I hope it gives his loved ones a sense of comfort and closure in this abhorrent crime.”

“Cirus Cid-Mejia brutally stabbed a building maintenance employee who was assisting social workers in a court ordered wellness check on a 61-year-old tenant,” said District Attorney Bragg. “These workers were only trying to do their jobs and assist in the protection of a vulnerable New Yorker. We will not stand by when hardworking Manhattanites are attacked. I hope the victim continues to heal from the assault.”

“As alleged, this father-son duo murdered David Brown in his own home,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Disturbingly, Mr. Brown’s girlfriend – the mother of one of the accused – allegedly helped by tampering with evidence and hindering the prosecution of this case.
