“As alleged, Patrick Robles viciously assaulted, robbed, and attempted to rape a young woman on the subway as she tried to escape the horrifying attack,” said District Attorney Bragg. “No New Yorker should have to fear riding the subway home. My office will continue to prioritize and prosecute these types of violent attacks.”
“Claude White’s alleged use of violence ended in tragedy, and now the family and loved ones of Mr. Silver are grieving over this terrible loss. Whether it is during rush hour, late at night, or early in the morning, our subway system should be a safe way for all New Yorkers to travel and commute,” said District Attorney Bragg.
“A jury held Christian Jeffers accountable for this intentional assault in our subway system. This conviction sends a strong message that we will thoroughly investigate and prosecute those who target other New Yorkers with this type of violence,” said District Attorney Bragg. “I thank our prosecutors for their work achieving this outcome and to the victims who testified and bravely shared their stories in court.”
“Kamal Semrade now stands indicted on Attempted Murder for an alleged unprovoked attack on a straphanger,” said District Attorney Bragg. “My thoughts are with the victim, whose life is forever changed, and her loved ones. Anyone who seeks to cause harm in our subway system will be held accountable.”
“Billy Hernandez committed a series of violent crimes, including a slashing that left his ex-girlfriend with extensive scarring and horrified rush hour commuters in one of our city’s busiest transit hubs,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Today, he was held accountable for this disturbing act of targeted violence, and our thoughts are with the victim as she recovers.”
