“Today, Tyrese Haspil is facing accountability for brutally murdering and decapitating Fahim Saleh, a kind, generous, and empathetic person who positively impacted the world. Even after the defendant stole from him to fund a lavish lifestyle, Mr. Saleh still gave him a second chance,” said District Attorney Bragg. “While today’s sentence won’t bring Mr. Saleh back, I hope it provides his family a sense of closure as they continue to mourn his painful loss.” 

“As alleged, Brittney Bullock attacked two elderly victims in violent, unprovoked assaults that occurred within minutes of each other,” said District Attorney Bragg. “In Manhattan, we will continue to take acts of violence against elderly New Yorkers very seriously and hold those accountable who commit these crimes. “As alleged, Tyshaun Watson brutally attacked a pizzeria manager, almost killing him. No employee should have their life threatened when they are working and serving their community,” said District Attorney Bragg. “My Office will continue to hold those accountable who use violence against Manhattan workers. I hope the victim heals from this egregious attack.” 

“As alleged, Kevin Young brutally stabbed Monte McEvilley, his neighbor, who was completely unarmed,” said District Attorney Bragg. “This alleged conduct senselessly took Mr. McEvilley’s life, and my thoughts are with his loved ones as they continue to grieve their loss. My office will continue to hold those accountable who threaten the safety of fellow Manhattanites.”
