“Lauren Pazienza aggressively shoved Barbara Gustern to the ground and walked away as the beloved New Yorker lay there bleeding. Today’s plea holds Pazienza accountable for her deadly actions,” said District Attorney Bragg. “We continue to mourn the loss of Barbara Gustern, a talented musical theater performer and vocal coach who touched so many in New York City and beyond.”

“First responders work on the frontlines every day to serve the City of New York. As alleged, Rudy Garcia viciously attacked an EMT who was doing her job and coming to his aid,” said District Attorney Bragg. “I’m grateful for the swift action of other members of the Mount Sinai Health System and the NYPD. My thoughts are with the victim as she continues to recover and heal.”

“As alleged, Hasson Victoria lunged at three different men with a pair of scissors over the span of minutes — all during the morning rush hour — on public streets,” said District Attorney Bragg. “I want New Yorkers to know that we treat these violent attacks with the seriousness they deserve.”  

 “Today, Pedro Vinent-Barcia was held accountable for this horrific act of domestic violence,” said District Attorney Bragg. “I know the past few years have been incredibly painful for Ms. Rosado’s family and loved ones, and while nothing can undo this tragedy, I hope this conviction can bring some measure of comfort. I thank our prosecutors on this case for their thorough investigation and for achieving this strong outcome in court.”

“As alleged, Carlos Ramirez beat a hardworking grocery store employee to death,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Mr. Perez’s passing has left his family distraught and heartbroken and I share in the significant pain they are currently experiencing. All store employees deserve to be safe on the job. I want them to know that we are treating this tragedy with the utmost seriousness and will pursue accountability to the full extent of the law.”
